Real change starts with youth who care. The Youth Action Team is the prevention club at Moses Lake High School, made up of students who are passionate about making their school and community healthier, safer, and more supportive. These youth leaders plan and lead prevention activities, promote mental health, and raise awareness about the risks of substance use—all while building skills in communication, teamwork, and advocacy.
Members of the Youth Action Team are supported by adult mentors and work alongside our coalition to amplify youth voice in local prevention strategies. They also have opportunities to attend leadership trainings and represent Moses Lake at statewide prevention events.
Whether they’re creating campaigns, hosting events, or speaking up for their peers, Youth Action Team members are leading the way—and showing that prevention is powerful when it starts with youth.
